Man shot several times in Downtown Jacksonville

A man and a woman were found fatally shot early Saturday at a motel in Far East Dallas, police say. Officers responded about 3:42 a.m. to the Super 8 in the 8900 block of East R.L. Thornton Freeway, where they found a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s with gunshot wounds.

Jacksonville, FLa. — Columbus Donavan Jeffrey, 43, of Jacksonville has pleaded guilty to two counts of producing images depicting himself as he sexually abused a child. Jeffrey faces an aggregate mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years, and up to 60 years, in federal prison and a potential life term of supervised release. Jeffrey was arrested on October 3, 2019, and remains in custody. A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
